If you’re in Austin at SXSW Interactive next month, be sure to check this talk that Chloe Gottleib and I are doing together. Trust me, it will be fun.

Stop Talking, Start Making
I’ve proposed a talk for SXSW Interactive next March called “Stop Talking, Start Making,” and I would love it you could visit the SXSW PanelPicker and vote for my presentation (along with all the other sessions that interest you). SXSW is unique from other conferences in that the popular vote heavily influences their selection, so your voice definitely counts!
“Stop...

How @anywhere and Annotations will enable...
At Chirp (the Twitter Developer Conference), COO Dick Costolo went into some more details about Twitter’s previously announced @anywhere initiative, and Director of Platform Ryan Sarver announced a new feature called Annotations.
I won’t rehash what these two things do as there’s already good explanations on dev.twitter.com and vator.tv.
The power of these features comes when...

Two simple ways Google can make Android...
I’ve been doing more Android development lately, and while I’m a big fan of the platform, I’m learning that it’s biggest shortfall is that it’s too developer centric. It’s configurable. It’s flexible. You can build a UI in code, HTML or XML, your choice! And you can control it all from your IDE or from the command line. All of this is very nifty for...

This is brilliant, though I’d love to see how the envelope looks with an upside down or other crazy rotated map (e.g. sending it from Georgia to Maine).

Tweet. Chirp. Booze.
Been thinking about the upcoming Chirp conference, and was all excited because I thought it would be funny to bring some 140 proof liquor to the party. Then I found out that 140 proof is actually a Twitter ad network. Now instead of looking like a dork, I just feel like one on the inside.
If I actually went to the trouble to hack a Billy Bass, all I would do is just get it to play the McDonald’s Filet-o-Fish song.
